The last data on religious affiliation in Jamaica was conducted in 2011. 69% identify as Protestants, although a more precise distinction has to be made in Jamaica's case. Of these 69%:
- 26% belong to the Church of God,
- 12% to the Seventh-day Adventists,
- 11% to the Pentecostals,
- 7% to the Baptists,
- 3% to the Anglicans,
- 2% to the United Church,
- 2% to the Methodists,
- 2% to Jehovah's Witnesses,
- 2% to no particular affiliation,
- 1% to Moravians,
- 1% to Christian Brethren.
2% of the Jamaican population identifies with the Roman Catholic Church.
8% of the Jamaican population identify religiously as:
- Rastafari
- Muslim
- Hindu
- Bahai
21% of Jamaicans do not feel like belonging to any religion.
There are more than 1,600 churches in Jamaica, approximately one church for every 6.8 square kilometers of the island.
